Dr. Ristagno is from Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She then earned her Medical Degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She remained in Louisville Kentucky for her pediatric residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital, board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2014. She then completed a pediatric infectious diseases fellowship and simultaneously a Masters in Clinical Investigative Sciences. After graduation, she was hired by Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Ristagno has a special clinical interest in bacterial infections and primary immunodeficiency; she also has an interest in medical education and serves as the program director for Mayo Clinic’s pediatric infectious diseases fellowship.
She lives in Rochester, Minnesota with her husband and goldendoodle, Figment. She enjoys playing violin and viola. She also enjoys crafts, Harry Potter (self-proclaimed Ravenclaw), Disney World, ancient Roman history, and is a Latin language enthusiast.
